Black Caviar’s first foal to race Oscietra may soon be headed to the breading barn with her racing career up in the air.
Connections of the filly will decide over the next fortnight if the regally bred 3YO filly will continue racing or be retired just as her younger brother is set to make his racing debut.
Oscietra has failed to live up to the hype that surrounded her and connections feel she could be better off being retired for breeding rather than racing on.
Oscietra has had five starts for two wins, those being a maiden win at Geelong and a Rating 64 win at Ballarat.
Her last start was a disappointing 8th at Sandown where she was beaten close to six lengths after leading.
The racing future of Oscietra ( Exceed and Excel -Black Caviar) is up in the air.
Chance she may not race again
Pam Hawkes says a decision will be made over the next few weeks.
We did speak about it on the weekend, we will need to decide soon.
