This Saturday at Sandown, a competitive field of 13 mares will line up for the Group 3 Bellmaine Stakes, a 1200-metre contest that sees several talented runners resuming their campaigns. Quintessa, Eternal Flame, and Fancify are set to carry the top weights as they return to racing, while Wrote To Arataki, Couer Volante, and So Glamorous are also making their first appearances this preparation. Adding to the excitement is the inclusion of Tashi, a talented NSW raider, alongside in-form gallopers She’s Bulletproof, Miraval Rose, and Bossy Nic.
Hearcomesthestar, Cheval Chic, and Bizot have secured their spots in the field thanks to consistent performances in recent campaigns, though they face a challenge from their wide barrier draws, with gates 12, 13, and 11 respectively.
On the same card, the two-year-old Group 3 Chairman’s Stakes will feature a field of 10 promising juveniles. Godolphin’s Tempted, who arrives with winning form after a maiden victory at Warwick Farm in December, is one of the key contenders. She will face stiff competition from Dominic Sutton’s Sword Of Legacy, who chased the smart Calvary Girl on debut, and Clayton Douglas’ No Limitation, who finished four lengths behind Sword Of Legacy in that same race. Additionally, Forceofone and Hot Sea have shown strong form in recent jumpouts, making them horses to watch in this competitive event.
