Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $1 million Premiere Stakes (1200m) at Royal Randwick, where Tempted produced a dominant performance ahead of The Everest.

Chad Schofield (Tempted): “The problem is she runs past them in 50m so I don’t really know how to answer that. She is a machine.

“The draw was tricky today but she got out cleanly, I got cover then circled up for home a long way from the leader. She has an amazing trait where she grabs the bit around the bend, locks on and is ready to explode.

“You let her go and off she goes! I can’t wait to aim her at Ka Ying Rising. She is going to be ready to go and she is an amazing horse.’’

Nash Rawiller (Savvy Hallie): “She was awesome. The fight she showed to run second, I was bloody proud of her. We’ll leave it up to the team where we go from here. Never let us down again.”

Zac Lloyd (Marhoona): “She is going super. She is trending the right way. She gets better with racing. Will be competitive wherever she goes.”

Rachel King (Mazu): “Just had to do a lot of work today. A bit more pressure over the 1200m bought him undone late.”

Jason Collett (Caballus): “He has gone well. Found that ground a bit testing for him. He is better on top of the ground. I was happy with that.”

Alysha Collett (King Of Sparta): “Looks to improve off that.”

Tom Sherry (King Of Roseau): “He was excellent there. Really pleased with him. Probably looking for a bit further.”

Andrew Adkins (King’s Secret): “He had the right run there. Set up well. I was a little disappointed the last furlong. The ground didn’t let him release that good sprint that he has got.”

Adam Hyeronimus (Grafterburners): “Is going really well. There is a good race for him. Hit a flat spot on the soft track. Gets things to go his way on a firmer track he’ll be right.”

James McDonald (Generosity): “She was really good from back in the field. Hard to go with the winner. She won too well. I thought she boxed on well.”

Regan Bayliss (Weeping Woman): “She had a lovely run. She was disappointing overall. Maybe she hasn’t come up as good this preparation.”

Tim Clark (Plaintiff): “Had a nice run. Travelled really well. Thought she was going to let rip and run into the placings but just couldn’t quite pick up the ground.”
