A number of jockey changes have been enforced following the suspension of four jockeys for breaching COVID protocols.
In-form jockey Brett Prebble has picked up the ride on Behemoth, the favourite for the Memsie Stakes at Caulfield on Saturday.
Prebble was chosen to replace Jamie Kah following her suspension on Friday, along with Ben Melham and two other jockeys, for breaching Racing Victoria COVID protocols.
Behemoth won last year’s Group 1 Memsie Stakes (1400m) under Craig Williams who this year rides second favourite Tofane.
Prebble sits second in the early stages of the 2021-22 season on the Victorian Jockeys’ Premiership with five winners, one behind Williams.
Kah’s suspension has also cost her the ride on the promising Ayrton who is set to run in the Neds Filter Form Handicap (1400m).
John Allen has picked up the ride on the exciting four-year-old.
Also losing out on a Memsie Stakes ride is Melham who was down to ride South Australian raider Beau Rossa with Linda Meech picking up the mount.
