A number of jockey changes have been enforced following the suspension of four jockeys for breaching COVID protocols.
In-form jockey Brett PrebbleĀ has picked up the ride onĀ Behemoth, theĀ favouriteĀ for theĀ MemsieĀ Stakes at CaulfieldĀ on Saturday.
Prebble was chosen to replace Jamie KahĀ following her suspensionĀ on Friday, along withĀ Ben MelhamĀ andĀ twoĀ other jockeys,Ā for breaching Racing VictoriaĀ COVID protocols.
Behemoth won last year’s Group 1Ā MemsieĀ Stakes (1400m) under Craig WilliamsĀ who this year rides second favouriteĀ Tofane.
Prebble sits second in the early stages ofĀ the 2021-22Ā season on the Victorian Jockeys’ Premiership with five winners, one behind Williams.
Kah’s suspensionĀ has also cost her the ride on the promising AyrtonĀ who is set to run inĀ theĀ NedsĀ Filter Form Handicap (1400m).
John AllenĀ has picked up the ride on the exciting four-year-old.
Also losing out on aĀ MemsieĀ Stakes rideĀ is MelhamĀ who was down to ride South Australian raider Beau RossaĀ with Linda MeechĀ picking up the mount.
