Outspoken trainer Peter Moody has not held back in his thoughts on the decision for WA to run their summer carnival for locals only.
The Western Australian government has announced that interstate horses would not be allowed to race during their summer carnival due to COVID restrictions which prompted Caulfield Cup winning trainer Peter Moody to express his thoughts on the decision.
βWell, the disappointing thing is racing figures obviously didnβt ‘pull off’ the Western Australian government like the AFL people did, because every man and his dog was allowed to fly in for the f***ing AFL Grand Final, and players and everyone β¦ and they wonβt let horses fly in for the racing carnival,β Moody said.
βI think the Western Australian premier needs to pull his head out of his arse, and have a look at how many f***ing people the racing industry actually employs in his state.β
