Kayla Nisbet, the accomplished jockey who recently clinched a win in the Country Championships Final, has announced her retirement from riding.
The decision comes less than a month after her shining moment at Royal Randwick aboard Asgarda.
Nisbet, 29, will transition to a new role as a presenter and form analyst for Sky Racing in Southern NSW and Canberra.
Having achieved nearly 600 victories throughout her riding career, Nisbet expressed pride in her accomplishments but noted that it was time to embark on the next chapter of her professional journey.
Her final ride is slated for Wagga Gold Cup race day on May 2, where she will bid farewell to the saddle before beginning her new role on May 6.
