Jockey Sairyn Fawke was hospitalised after falling from his horse, Bocheeva, during a race at Strathalbyn on Sunday.
The incident occurred when Bocheeva clipped heels with another runner, causing Fawke to be dislodged.
Officials at the track confirmed that Fawke regained consciousness before being transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
As a result of the fall, the race schedule at Strathalbyn was adjusted, with all subsequent races delayed by one race slot to accommodate the disruption.
