Jockey Jamie Mott will be out of the saddle for an extended period after breaking his tibia and fibula in a horror four-horse fall at Cranbourne on Friday night.
Mott was aboard the heavily backed Alsvin in the second last race of the Cranbourne meeting when the fall occurred.
Other jockeys in the fall included Jason Maskiell who was transported to Dandenong Hospital with ankle soreness, while John Allen and Dylan Dunn were immediately to their feet and able to walk back to scale.
The four horses involved in the incident (Grand Crown, Empire Liberty, Alsvin and Allageri) were cleared of injury by vets.
