In-form Sydney apprentice Jean Van Overmeire will have an extended stint on the side lines after fracturing his leg.
Van Overmeire was kicked by a horse ar trackwork on Wednesday morning before being taken for scans which revealed the fracture.
The in-form apprentice had ridden four winners at his last two meetings after giving Renewal a ten out of ten steer to win at Randwick on Saturday.
