Jockeys Zac Lloyd and Ash Morgan will both serve periods on the sidelines after accepting guilty pleas to separate careless riding charges from Saturday’s Rosehill Gardens meeting.
Lloyd admitted to permitting Lyles to shift inwards approaching the 700-metre mark, resulting in interference to runner-up Snack Bar during the Stowe Australia Handicap.
Racing stewards imposed a seven-meeting suspension concluding Friday, December 12, allowing Lloyd to resume riding at Canterbury’s race meeting.
Twenty-four hours following his return, he is scheduled to partner Yorkshire in the The Ingham (1600m) at Royal Randwick.
Morgan’s suspension arose from his handling of Tavros in the Country Classic, where an inward movement caused Hibiki Harmony to be checked.
Morgan received a three-meeting ban reflecting his excellent record, sidelined from December 7 through December 12.
Last Thursday, Morgan incurred a $500 fine at Hawkesbury following an incident involving vaping in the jockeys’ room.
