As heavy rain continues to pummel South-East Queensland, an early decision has been made with regard to the meeting scheduled for the Gold Coast tomorrow with that meeting now being switched to the Sunshine Coast Poly Track.
An inspection of the Doomben track early this meeting left the track rating at a Heavy 10 but, realistically, with the weight of rainfall that has already been delivered this week, the chance of racing taking place at the city track on Saturday has to anywhere from very small to non-existent.
A further announcement is expected later today.
The Sunshine Coast meeting on Sunday is still currently scheduled to take place on the turf track, which is currently rated as a Heavy 10, so it would be no surprise at all if that meeting also is saved by the club being able to exercise the Poly Track option.
