Racing NSW has finalised a global distribution agreement with sports streaming platform DAZN for its documentary focused on leading jockey James McDonald.
The film will also air domestically on Foxtel, Kayo Sports and BINGE, with its premiere scheduled on Fox Sports (Foxtel channel 502) on April 14 at 7.30pm (AEST), alongside a simultaneous release across streaming services.
Through the partnership, DAZN will distribute the documentary internationally to an audience exceeding 400 million subscribers.
The production offers behind-the-scenes insight into McDonald’s career, highlighting the physical and mental demands associated with competing at the highest level of race riding.
Racing NSW chief executive Peter V’landys said the documentary was aimed at expanding the sport’s reach by showcasing its leading figures.
“This documentary showcases the extraordinary skill, discipline and resilience required to be a top-level jockey,” V’landys said.
The agreement significantly broadens the reach of racing content, with the documentary set to be viewed in more than 200 countries through DAZN’s global network.
