A fuel leak on a chartered flight taking eighteen Eastern state horses to Perth for the Summer Carnival has been delayed due to a fuel leak.
A plane set to take eighteen horses from Tullamarine in Melbourne to Perth was set to depart before a fuel leak was found halting the flight indefinitely.
None of the horses incurred any injuries or set-backs due to the delay and all horse bar Manolo Blahniq are expected to board the plane again on Tuesday night.
The key horses set to race this weekend on the flight were Railway Stakes contenders Best Of Days, Manolo Blahniq and Reykjavik as well as WA Guineas contender Widespread.
