Former top apprentice Luke Tarrant is facing charges by the Queensland police in relation to theft and drug offences.
Tarrant who was suspended from riding for six months after testing positive to cocaine has now been charged with two counts of possess tainted property and one count each of stealing, possess dangerous drug, possess utensil and possession of things used in an offence.
Throughout his short yet successful career including a Magic Millions Classic win aboard Le Chef, Tarrant has been in the spotlight for all of the wrong reasons. Tarrant recently caused a stir when he posted a hat which had the words ‘Enjoy Coke’ to his instagram account as well as receiving a two year driving suspension for driving whilst disqualified.
He is set to appear at the Caloundra Magistrates Court on June 1.
