Star sprinter Overpass will take on 10 rivals as he bids to become the first horse to win Ascot’s Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) three times.
The Bjorn Baker-trained speedster has come up with barrier three for Saturday’s feature sprint and, for the third straight year, will carry the number one saddlecloth.
Among his key rivals are The Quokka winner Jokers Grin, Eastern raider Rey Magnerio and high-class mare Benedetta, ensuring a deep and competitive edition of the race.
