VRC will be targeting Winx with a $5m Mile race in the Autumn
Racing Victoria this morning has announced a new $5 million dollar race to be run in the Autumn with racing fans to decide the field.
To be known as the All Star Mile, the first running will be at Flemington on March 16 next year with the race to rotate between Melbourne’s three metropolitan clubs.
Ten of the 14 spots in the field will be decided by public ballot with the remaining four spots held for wildcard selection which will be decided on by the VRC board.
Winx will be the main target for the VRC in the Autumn although her racing future still remains in the air with connections set to decided whether she races on or is retired early in the new year.
