A field of eight has been assembled for the $1m The Age Caulfield Guineas (1600m) this Saturday.
Sydney’s three year old colts have headed the market since the first odds were released, and this is likely to be the case on Saturday.
Run to the Rose winner Smart Missile, Golden Rose winner Manawanui and Sires Produce/Champagne victor Helmet headline the field, which also includes Bill Stutt winner Chase The Rainbow.
Specter, Secret Hills, Huegill and General Offer complete the field.
Smart Missile and Manawanui have drawn well in barriers 2 and 3 respectively, while Helmet is expected to ping to the lead from the outside barrier of 8.
Chase The Rainbow, from gate 7, is expected to go back to last.
It continues the run of small fields for three year old races, after the Golden Rose produced a field of only six runners.
