The Moonee Valley Vase favourite Verry Elleegant is set to be scratched from Saturday’s Group Two race with the stable informing the stewards.
Current Vase markets have Verry Elleegant as the $3.50 favourite ahead of Sydney colt Aramayo but she will head to the Wakeful Stakes on Derby Day before racing in the VRC Oaks where she heads markets.
The Moonee Valley Vase is the last race on Cox Plate day and is a typical lead up race to the Victoria Derby.
