David Payne trained Centennial Park has taken out the 2011 Expressway Stakes beating home second favourite Love Conquers all and odds on favourite Hot Danish.
Centennial Park came from off the speed to win impressively against a very talented field of runners including two time Group 1 winning mare Hot Danish.
Centennial Park was forgotten by punters which saw him jump at $11, but when Corey Brown brought the 5YO to the middle of the track he was never in doubt and went on to score easily by just under a Length.
This has started what looks to be a very promising campaign for the son of Thorn Park as it was evident he will be better over further ground.
After his run trainer David Payne said Centennial Park will be targeted at the $2 million Group I Doncaster Mile (1600m) at Randwick on April 16.
