Mornington Cup winner Aktau has been scratched from Saturday’s Caulfield Cup after suffering from a tendon injury.
The Michael Moroney-trained gelding is expected to be out for up to 6 months after scans revealed a small hole in his tendon.
The scratching means that first emergency Raheen House will now get into the Caulfield Cup field.
Jockey Daniel Moor, who was booked to ride Aktau, has picked up the ride on Raheen House.
Aktau was rated as an $81 chance in Caulfield Cup odds while Raheen House is currently at $251.
