Caulfield Cup favourite passes vet inspection

Caulfield Cup favourite Bonneval has passed a vets inspection this morning after she pulled up lame in the Caulfield Stakes yesterday which cast some initial doubt over her lining up in this weekends Caulfield Cup.

Bonneval looked on face value a bit disappointing when she finished 6th in the G1 Caulfield Stakes although a post race stewards report detailed she had received lacerations during the race which could explain her below par run.

Before the Caulfield Stakes Bonneval was the $4.80 favourite for the Caulfield Cup but has drifted slightly out to $5.50.
