The equal favourite for Saturday’s Caulfield Cup has been ruled out of the Spring carnival this morning after suffering an injury during a gallop at Warrnambool this morning.
The Japanese import who is now trained by Darren Weir ‘Admire Deus’ has been ruled out of Saturday’s Caulfield Cup as well as the Melbourne Cup 2017.
Admire Deus was the equal $6.50 favourite for the 2017 Caulfield Cup after he shortened with one bet from a luckless punter who staked $20,000 on the Japanese import overnight and was on the second line of betting in Caulfield Cup markets at $10.
Admire Deus suffered a serious injury in a gallop at Warrnambool and has been transported to the vets with news suggesting the horse will be retired.

Admire Deus was galloping on a perfect Warrnambool surface when the horse has suffered an injury. Being attended to by vets right now.
