Despite six rounds being shot into his door last night, a shaken Terry Bailey has stated it is business like usual in lead up to the start of the Flemington carnival.
“(I’m) absolutely committed,” Bailey told racing.com
“There’s 900 trainers in Victoria – there’s a lot of people relying on us to make sure the place is run with a level playing field and we’ll keep doing that and we’re not going to walk away from that, the show will go on and we’ll keep going the way we’re going.
“Over the years when you’re in these roles – these integrity roles – obviously sometimes people don’t like the way you go about the job but we’ve got to do it to make sure there’s a level playing field and we’ll keep doing it.
“It’s the biggest week in Australian racing and we’ll go and tackle it the same we’ve done in the last eight or nine years.”
There is yet to be any key persons identified responsible for the incident.
