Respected country trainer Brett Cavanough has officially entered into a training partnership, with his daughter Georgie joining him at the helm of their Hunter Valley stable.
Cavanough, who has prepared close to 1200 winners from his successful Scone operation, will now share the family business under the new partnership banner. The pair saddled their first runner together at Narromine on Monday.
A five-time leading NSW country trainer, Cavanough began his career in Albury before relocating to Scone in 2017. Along the way, he has established himself as one of the stateβs most accomplished horsemen.
During his early years in Albury, Cavanough was renowned for breaking in young horses, including more than 800 for top trainer Peter Moody β among them the unbeaten champion Black Caviar.
The father-daughter partnership signals an exciting new era for the Cavanough stable, with the combination aiming to continue their strong influence on country racing in New South Wales.
