Two up and coming star stayers headline the betting for the 2020 Cox Plate to be staged at Moonee Valley on October 24 with Master Of Wine and Russian Camelot opening $11 ‘All In’ equal favourites at TAB after the announcement of official nominations.
Master Of Wine – trained by Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes – graduated from Benchmark company last February to finish fourth in a star-studded Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick on April 11.
The Danny O’Brien-trained Russian Camelot rocketed to the top of ‘Pre Nominations’ betting for the Cox Plate – along with the Caulfield Cup and Melbourne Cup – after an impressive TAB South Australian Derby triumph at Morphettville on May 9.
Gallopers the calibre of Alligator Blood, Arcadia Queen, the well-travelled Magic Wand and this year’s All-Star Mile winner Regal Power are all $15 chances.
