Mark Newnham has delivered some not so Joyful news this afternoon
Boom sprinter Joyful Fortune has been ruled out of the Autumn Racing Carnival after sustaining an injury to his off knee.
Trainer Mark Newnham this afternoon notified stewards that his star sprinter would miss the Autumn Carnival where he was being targeted at the G1 Black Caviar Lightning.
A former Hong Kong galloper who was restricted to straight track racing before returning to Australia with knee problems, scored in the Century Stakes over 1000m back in September.
