Star filly Enthaar has been the red hot favourite for the $1.5m Blue Diamond Stakes throughout betting but she has been an alarming drifter in markets in the last twenty four hours.
The Maher/Eustace trained filly was as short as $2.00 for the Blue Diamond in all-in markets but has continued to drift this week and the unbeaten filly is now out to $2.80 and could start much longer if the current market is a guide.
Enthaar was involved in a veterinary check on Thursday and again on Friday before being cleared to run which obviously does not instill much confidence for her backers and that has seen good money this week come for General Beau who is out of the in form Ellerton/Zahra stable and is the clear third favourite at $6.00.
Raceday money however has been for the Godolphin owned Anamoe who is $9.50 into $5.50 this morning despite having to overcome barrier fifteen but that did not deter Champion jockey Damien Oliver choosing the colt as his ride in the race after having the choice of the stables three contenders, all of which are in the market.
