One of the best bred horses in the country is set to make his debut at Pakenham on Tuesday.
The Peter Moody trained Best Ever will debut in the third race on Tuesday’s Pakenham card and you will be hard pressed to find a better bred horse anywhere in the country.
Best Ever is by champion stallion Snitzel out of eight time Group One winning mare More Joyous.
The regally bred colt is the latest of More Joyous’ foals to hit the race track but Moody hasn’t been caught up in the hype after two average jump-outs in lead up to his debut.
“He’s the same colour as mum, but he hasn’t got her ability,” Moody said onΒ RSN927.
“He’s trialed up OK. (He’s got) blinkers on seven furlongs, he’ll sit on or about the speed and he’ll be in the mix.
“I’ll be disappointed if he’s not thereabouts. A couple of those have got a little more experience and a run under their belts, but he’ll win one of these type of races pretty quickly.”
