Champion jockey Blake Shinn has been handed a nine-meeting suspension following his rides at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Shinn, who produced a masterful steer on emerging talent Oak Hill to score an emphatic win in race four, was later found guilty of causing interference in the sixth race, taken out by the well-backed favourite Esha.
Racing stewards ruled that Shinnβs riding near the 800-metre point resulted in interference to Calvary Girl ($31) and Hello Romeo ($11).
The ban will see Shinn sidelined from August 17, with the top hoop eligible to make his return to the saddle at Ballarat on August 26.
