Melbourne Cup winning jockey Blake Shinn will return to race riding for the first time in over six months at Randwick today.
Shinn missed the Spring carnival after fracturing his C1 and C3 vertebrae in a fall at the Randwick barrier trials in August last year.
Shinn last rode in a race on August 11 and his last winner was Thinkin’ Big on July 28 at Rosehill.
The Cup winning jockey has six rides including one in the feature Carrington Stakes aboard Tom Melbourne.
