Unbeaten mare Black Caviar has made it eight from eight with an unbelievable victory in the Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic (1200m).
Black Caviar showed her champion qualities with a great turn of foot to leave the classy field in her wake.
Dual Group 1-winning three year old Star Witness was second, with Ortensia third.
Last year’s winner All Silent was fourth.
The race had been billed for months as a match race between the unbeaten mare and the West Australian sprint star Hay List.
However, Hay List was a massive drifter in betting and proved that all was not right, finishing 6th.
Trainer Peter Moody indicated that he was likely to keep Black Caviar in Australia for a while to come.
Today’s victory took Black Caviar’s prizemoney past the $1 million mark.
