Star sprinter Bivouac is set to take on the World’s best sprinters with James Cummings announcing the Godolphin owned galloper could head to Dubai in March and Royal Ascot in June.
Bivouac was an emphatic winner of Saturday’s VRC Sprint Classic down the Flemington straight prompting connections to consider overseas targets for the valuable stallion prospect.
‘’We’ve spoken about the plans provisionally,’’ James Cummings told RSN 927’s Correct Weight.
‘’We’ll go through it in more detail tomorrow morning but I don’t think there are any members of the team that aren’t excited by the prospect of taking this horse abroad.
‘’I like the idea of including the Lightning (Stakes at Flemington) in the horse’s campaign for next year and we can use that as a launching pad for any exploits overseas.
’’At the top of the list has to be Dubai and Royal Ascot. That can make it a big year for a colt but we think he’s well capable of making that trip and undergoing that challenge because he’s got a marvellous temperament .
‘’We are very lucky to have a horse that good in our care.’’
