The Bendigo Jockey Club will undertake a full renewal of its course proper racing surface following its annual Cup meeting.
The project is backed by a $530,000 investment from the Victorian state government and will see 60,000 square metres of Kikuyu turf laid to deliver a more consistent, durable surface, enhanced drainage and reduced maintenance demands.
Home to 150 horses and 42 trainers and staging 23 race meetings annually, Bendigo’s upgrade is designed to cement the club’s status as one of Victoria’s premier country racing venues.
The 2025 Bendigo Cup is scheduled for October 29.
