With a touch of luck going her way, the Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young-trained Asymmetrical could be lining up at Bendigo aiming for five straight victories.

As it stands, Asymmetrical has been beaten only once in four starts ahead of contesting the Listed Bendigo Guineas (1400m) on Saturday.

The only time Asymmetrical incurred a defeat was when resuming her second campaign, going down narrowly at Pakenham, before recording wins there and at Sandown.

Saturday’s race at Bendigo will be Asymmetrical’s first start in black type company and Young is looking forward to seeing how the filly performs.

“She’s a little ripper this filly,” Young said.

“She does everything right, she should nearly be four from four and she’s going back up to the 1400 (metres) again.

“She worked up super on Tuesday. She gallops off the charts all the time and she brings it race day.”

Young concedes it will not be an easy assignment on Saturday as the daughter of So You Think looks to land her fourth career win.

But Young has faith in Jordan Childs who has gelled with the filly since joining forces with her this campaign after apprentice Thomas Stockdale won on her at debut at Bairnsdale last year.

“It’s a good field with Prowling there, Gundec and a few others, but you can’t fault her,” Young said.

“Her coat is dappled, she looks immaculate, and Jordan is riding well when he gets on for us.

“He’s got nice soft hands, which for her is what she needs.”

Asymmetrical is an $8.50 chance in latest TAB betting.

The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Cardigan Queen heads the market at $2.70 from Gundec ($5) with Sharp Response, who was first home in last week’s Mornington Guineas before losing the race on protest, on the next line at $6.50.
