Racing Victoria veterinarians have given the green light to all 24 runners in tomorrow’s $10 million Melbourne Cup at Flemington.
The second round of pre-race veterinary inspections was completed today, with every horse in the final field declared fit to race.
The thorough checks are part of Racing Victoria’s strict welfare protocols to ensure all Cup contenders are in peak condition ahead of Australia’s most famous race.
With all horses passed fit, attention now turns to the Melbourne Cup odds, where Half Yours and Al Riffa share favouritism at $7.50 with swiftbet, just ahead of Presage Nocturne and Valiant King at $8.50.
