12 horses nominated to take on Winx

Champion mare Winx is set to have a tough task in her return to racing at Randwick on Saturday with a star studded list of nominations set to take her on.

Thirteen horses including Winx have been nominated for the Group One Winx Stakes at Randwick including Caulfield Cup runner-up Single Gaze who will be having her first start for Chris Waller.

Waller has six of the nominations in the race headlined by Winx but he is set to test his Champion mare with the likes of D’Argento and Unforgotten in the list of horses he intends to run in the race.

Victoria Derby winner Ace High is among the entries along with Godolphin Group One-winning mare Alizee who is also nominated for the Group Three Show County Quality on the day.

Bookmakers however don’t think they will test the champ on Saturday with Winx is the $1.15 favourite in early betting.
