Victorian trainer Matt Laurie has escaped any punishment following one of his horses positive tested positive for methamphetamine.
Laurie, who trains out of Mornington, pleaded guilty to the charge and told the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board the positive test was caused by a stable employee who used the drug ice.
The horse, Shockaholic, tested positive following it’s win at Echuca on April 24. The horse was disqualified from the race and places were amended accordingly.
