Queensland jockey John Kissick has apologised to the connections of Jeronimos after he had a brain fade which cost the horse the race in the first at Toowoomba on Saturday night.
Kissick was aboard second favourite Jeronimos in the race which burst through at the 200m and looked all out the winner until the Queensland hoop eased down the horse in the concluding stages to just be beaten on the line.
Kissick explained on twitter following the race that he misjudged the winning post.

Following the race Kissick took to twitter to apologise for the ‘brain explosion’ saying he mistook where the winning post was which ultimately cost his ride Jeronimos the win.
