At Albury races on Monday, we may have seen a bit of a star born.
His name is FRONT PAGE (Magnus-Stacey Lee) and he had an absolute lap on his rivals in this BM 58 over 1175m.
On the soft ground, he broke the class record too, and did it eased down his last 75m, crossing the wire ears pricked!
He carried 61kg and after sitting on the outside of the pace, he just let down at the 250m mark and his acceleration was very impressive.
This was just his 4th start in a race and his 2nd win.
He is a full-brother to the very smart multiple stakes placed city winner NEWS GIRL who has already earned $336,600 and who last start won at Caulfield in an open sprint.
Both horses are trained at Corowa by veteran trainer Geoff Duryea.
