Incumbent Victoria Racing Club (VRC) directors Amanda Elliott, Judge Katherine Bourke and Elisa Robinson (Sturzaker) were re-elected to the VRC Board on Friday following a postal ballot of members.
Six candidates, including William Burke, Tanya Fullarton and Anthony Mithen, contested the election for three vacant positions.
Vice Chairman Elliott, Bourke and Robinson all sought re-election at the conclusion of their terms on the Board of the world’s largest member-based racing club, in accordance with the company’s constitution.
The VRC recently announced a record profit of nearly $7.5 million for the 2012/13 racing season and the repaying of its remaining $9 million bank debt.
The VRC board is currently overseeing the rollout of the club’s ambitious masterplan of significant customer-focussed infrastructure upgrades, including plans for a new members’ grandstand.
