Connections of a promising three-year-old Aqua D’ivina have decided against running in Saturday’s $2m Magic Millions Guineas despite securing a place in the field with an impressive win at Randwick on the weekend.
The Matthew Smith-trained filly was impressive when running down Island Missile in the latter stages of the ATC Owners Benefit Card Handicap (1400m).
The win assured Aqua D’ivina a position in the Magic Millions Guineas field but connections of the $150,000 Pierro filly decided against a seven day back-up and 800km trip to run in the Gold Coast feature.
Aqua D’ivina was a $15 shot in betting following her Randwick win.
Confirmation from trainer Matt Smith @mcsmithracing that Aqua D’Ivina will NOT run in Saturday’s @mmsnippets 3YO Guineas.
