What is your first racing memory?
Having Champagne in the 1998 Melbourne Cup sweep – or my dad taking me to the Moonee Valley trots in the 90s.
Who is your favourite horse and why?
Mornington Glory, my first Group 1 came from obscurity and is just an easy horse to have in the stable.
Who is the best horse you’ve been involved with?
Mornington Glory from my stable but I rode all of Robbie Laing’s good horses over the past 20 years; Lord Of The Sky was as fast a horse I’ve ever sat on, he could run freakish times.
And the best horse you have seen?
Black Caviar.
Who is your ‘what if’ horse?
Enamorada.
Who do you admire most in racing?
Grahame Begg horses look immaculate and he places them well.
What is one change/improvement you’d love to see in racing?
Race free Sundays.
What’s the funniest moment you’ve experienced in racing?
The practical jokes played on Robbie Laing’s racing manager Geoff Mummery most mornings of the week!
What is your favourite pastime outside of racing?
Motorbike riding.
What is your favourite T.V show?
Mayor Of Kingstown.
