Zaaki almost at Winx odds in the Might And Power Stakes

Only Winx has been a modern-day winner of The Might And Power at a shorter quote than Zaaki’s TAB price, with the star import now a $1.28 chance in Final Field betting.

A $3.50 chance when TAB opened Pre-Nominations betting in July, Zaaki went up $1.30 after the field was finalised but is already in to $1.28. Probabeel is the $6 second elect, out from $5.50, with Homesman ($9 out to $10) and Nonconformist ($13) the only others under $41.

Winx was $1.24 when she accounted for two rivals when The Might And Power was known as the Caulfield Stakes, one of six odds-on winners of the race in the past 30 years.

Anamoe continues to drift in Caulfield Guineas betting, out to $2.80 after initially posted $2.30, but I’m Thunderstruck has been $3.10 in to $2.80 in the other Caulfield Group 1, the Toorak Handicap.

The Spring Champion Stakes holds centre stage at Randwick with Profondo ($3.10) and Head Of State ($4.60) solid at their opening prices after drawing wide alongside each other in barriers 10 and nine respectively. French Emperor has been the long-odds mover, in to $26 after opening $51.
