TAB’s biggest Winx fan has returned this morning with a wager of $259,000 at $1.06 on the world’s best horse to win today’s George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill (start time 3:05pm AEDT).
The TAB customer in question has now placed over $2.1 million in total on Winx and has continued to ‘up the ante’ with every bet after starting with a $56,000 wager at $1.10 in the 2017 Chipping Norton Stakes at Randwick.
“The $259,000 bet at $1.06 – which will result in a profit of $15,540 – is the biggest amount bet on Winx by this fan after a $239,000 wager at $1.09 to win the Chipping Norton Stakes three weeks ago,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
If Winx remains $1.06 or eases fractionally to $1.07, it will be the shortest price she has started with TAB since commencing her 31-race winning streak in the Sunshine Coast Guineas on May 16, 2015.
Winx was $1.08 in the Chipping Norton Stakes on March 2 along with the 2016 George Main Stakes at Randwick.
