It was a pretty low rated maiden over the mile but the sixth event at Stawell through up a pretty impressive last to first winner in the way of Flirting Wolf.
Flirting Wolf who was the heavily backed $2.70 favourite with Ladbrokes in the race was dead last at the turn and looked out of the race but jockey Billy Egan mustered the horse and came to the outside with a barn storming final 200m to win.
