State Solicitor has been the best backed runner in Winterbottom Stakes betting
Punters are all over star local sprinter State Solicitor to take out the Group l Winterbottom Stakes (1200m) at Ascot this Saturday.
The Bob Peters horse produced a gutsy effort to win last time out after getting badly held up early on in the straight. He has been set for this race for 12 months and punters are confident he can get the job done. He opened $2.80, touched $2.70 before easing to $3, but a late rally has seen him firm to $2.90.
That drift was due to the money for the other key chance in the race, Viddora. She is at $4.20 and rock solid at her opening price after touching $4.40. Rock Magic is at $6 and solid, as is Sir Rupert Clarke winner Santa Ana Lane at $8.
