Vega Magic’s odds shorten for The Everest

Sportsbet have slotted smart sprinter Vega Magic in on the fourth line of betting, at $10, after he was confirmed for The Everest.

Trapeze Artist heads betting on $4.60 for the Randwick sprint, but is not popular with punters.

Vega Magic last year finished second to Redzel ($6.50), who is the second favourite ahead of Kementari ($8.50).

Redzel is also the best supported runner.

“Vega Magic blew them away in last Saturday’s Bletchingly Stakes and it’s not surprising he’s been snapped up for a slot in the world’s richest turf race. He was luckless in last year’s Everest and if his latest win is any guide he should be right in it again,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
