Two lions step out at Tamworth

Do you ever throw your hands up in the air in either despair or delight when going through the form after you’ve heard the universe talk to you?

Happened to me this morning when doing the Tamworth form.

With meetings being cancelled or allowed to run on quagmires it was refreshing to find Tamworth still on and racing on a soft track.

Yet I instinctively, because the rain will fall there all day, found wet-trackers.

The babies of Sidestep all can swim in the mud.

So it was logical, despite resuming from a spell, to rate the filly by Sidestep, named LIONSTEPS, a big show in race 3, the maiden.

She has pace and has placed in this grade a few times already so with the added advantage of a slippery surface, she looks a nice each way bet.

Then, low and behold, race 4, the toppie, who can also handle himself rather proficiently on rain-effected ground, looked a good thing.

And his name is LEO.
