Winx today set another new record by becoming the first horse to win three consecutive George Main Stakes at Randwick.
The wonder mare’s 27th consecutive win was much to the delight of Sportsbet punters, she held over 90% of the money and started at odds of $1.10.
The online bookmaker reports that her popularity grows with every run. When Winx won the race in 2016 she attracted 1,364 bets, in 2017 the bet count more than doubled to 2767 bets and today she smashed her own record attracting 13,185 bets.
Winx is expected to contest the Turnbull Stakes next where she is the $1.25 favourite before attempting a history making fourth consecutive Cox Plate, where she is a commanding $1.45 favourite.
