A trainer who saddles up two key horses in Saturday’s G1 Railway Stakes at Ascot has given a strong push for one of them.
Trainer Darren McAuliffe has given a strong push for his Railway Stakes contender The Velvet King saying ‘he will take a power of beating’ in Saturday’s feature race.
“I’ve always maintained that The Velvet King’s a better horse than Gatting – we nearly saw him in Melbourne – but this is the race we wanted. You’ll see a real horse Saturday and he’ll take a power of beating.” McAuliffe said on RSN this morning.
